Seems like the Taliban and Al Qaeda need to work on their negotiating skills. I have not read the book, but i think the snippet mentioned that they were threatened with violence if they did not accept the terms. Where trillions of dollars are involved, i tend to not believe anything i read or hear and will only half believe what i see. Hell it takes all my energy to just make a few bucks every year so I can imagine the amount of energy that must go in to make a few trillion. I understand that McDonalds has a legion of child psychiatrists whose job it is to figure out what will attract kids over and over and over to eat at McDonalds.
