Summary of the Winter & Spring of 2001 contest results.
In this summary 5 points was allowed to the weekly winner and the second place winner gets 4 points and so on.
In the interests of my little pokey typing fingers no one below 10 accum. points is listed.

dsit 19
Shaw 19
Ceedee 16
Jimsy 14
teevee 13
jonpeetee 12
Condor 12
Duff Gain 11
marcos 11

If we scored only 1 point for any place in the top 5 each week the results would be:

marcos 6
teevee 5
dsit 5
Ceedee 5
Shaw 4
Jimsy 4
Nick Morvay 4
Duff Gain 3
Condor 3

News on my pick OSI. It now looks like OSI will bill more in the first quarter 2002 (Dec, Jan, Feb) than the previous 4 quarters combined. (and I won't have to get a new mouse).

merx.com - search for SHINNADS

Excerpt:
Nature of Requirements:
SHIPBOARD INTEGRATED NAVIGATION AND DISPLAY SYSTEMS (SHINNADS)

The Canadian Navy has a requirement to upgrade the capabilities
of 24 Shipboard Integrated Navigation and Display Systems
(SHINNADS) on board HALIFAX, IROQUOIS and PROTECTEUR class ships
and at various training and maintenance facilities as well as
procure an additional 16 systems for use on the KINGSTON and
VICTORIA classes. The upgrade will be directed to Offshore
Systems Limited (OSL), North Vancouver, British Columbia, the
only known source of the detailed technical knowledge necessary
of the existing systems as they are the manufacturer of SHINNADS
and the Electronic Chart Precise Integrated Navigation System
(ECPINS) software in service and hold the proprietary rights. In
order to ensure compatibility with the installed SHINNNADS
systems and commonality with the SHINNADS spares, documentation
and training used throughout the fleet, the additional 16
systems will be procured from OSL.

The Agreement on Internal Trade applies to this procurement and
it is exempt from competition under Article 506, 12 (a).

Delivery is required on or before February 28, 2002.

All intellectual property will be retained by the Contractor.
