Mr. Stevenson, Amein is the perfect example of an ignorant who is so fanatically obssessed with following certain ideology without having the open mind to seek the truth about that ideology. As a Muslim he can never accept that there is a possibility (just a possibility) that what he believes to be his faith may in fact have some flaws with it. For example and as Amein has indicated to you he does not wish to question the Surrah that talks about wife beating, because (as he puts it), God is saying that and he would not question God's wisdom! So if a Moslem man abuses his wife under the framework that she is not obeying him, it is OK because Quran has instructed him to do that, and therefore the buck stops with the mighty God himself! How can anyone argue with this logic! :) I fount that also amsuzing that (out of no where and without any pre-context) he made a poor attempt to attack another faith (i.e. Jewdism) by asking the idiotic question of whether the word "gewim" (or something like that) in Jewish meant that anyone who is not Jewish is sub human. In act he asked the same question on this thread also, and I responded to him that it was the same as the word "Kafar" used by Muslims!! I wished someone would tell him that there is a saying Do not throw stone at others when you are living in a glass house! In any event, one thing I believe and it is the fact that the truth will in the final analysis prevail. There will be a time - perhaps not in our life times - but there will be a day when Islam will either be eliminated totally and completely or sanitized to the extreme as it needs to be so badly. The analogy will be similar to that of Soviet Union. The communist empire also was in a way like Islam. They oppressed those who spoke against them, and selectively advertised and promoted what they wanted people to hear (i.e. propaganda). But ultimately when something is based on lies and evil will collapse and be eliminated. Anyway I just heard that Reverend Billy Grahm's son has publicly expressed that Islam is an evil religion filled with violence and hatred. And he is being criticized for that, which in my view is the truth! I really wished the media would stop covering the truth in the interest of (as you have characterized in your post to Amein) being "politically correct"! As long as truth is oppressed in this world there will be evil. However I do believe that the truth shall prevail regardless of how much it is oppressed.
