You'd be a good detective. I think you were the first person I'd heard thinking aloud that the anthrax letters may have been sent by a domestic terrorist piggybacking on the September 11th attacks. And this is an excellent point: Leahy seems obscure to me, and suggests that the perp lives in the Northeast, and keeps up with politics. I doubt that Osama bin Laden gives a flip that the Senate leadership switched from Republican to Democrat in March.
