The distinction about mature and immature Traditions had never occurred to me in that way, but I think you are right.

Adi Da relates these matters to Stages of Life.
The first 3 stages are the foundation stages; the 4th stage is the one in which the preoccupations of "growing up" so to speak are given up, and love becomes the key issue of one's life.

Islam is at least consistent in its worldview. Christianity (at least as expressed in the Roman Catholic Church of which I am most familiar) like Islam is adamant that it is the sole possessor of truth and the only valid path to God.

I think that is some what open to interpretation in Islam. Of course you will always find some one who will interpret things to suit them but I find this verse quite accommodating..

[al-Ma'idah 5:69.13] Lo! those who believe, and those who are Jews, and Sabaeans, and Christians - Whosoever believeth in Allah and the Last Day and doeth right - there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve.
