I had mild CO poisoning once- -mild meaning a splitting headache and nausea, but I survived. I really don't recommend it except for committed masochists. Who should be committed anyway.

Well, we have managed to change subjects quite a bit. I'm a bit lost with how we got to here from discussing floods but I appreciate your issues with it.

Homes today can certainly be poisonous. An airtight home is certainly something one has to be wary of for reasons never thought of years back. New homes today can be quite sick. Forget about asbestos. What about the preservatives that are put into particle board, or molding or just the fact that you have to be on top of your HVAC system so you don't get ill?

The average person today is unused to the chemicals that are locked in to the environment in an airtight home and blissfully unaware that s/he is breathing it in every moment. It's certainly a scary scenario, and it is well that you are schooled in it.
