It would be a very different kind of society.

Legend has it that in the Polynesian Islands, before the Westerners arrived with their ethics, there was no such thing as personal property, but people used whatever was around that they needed to use without any sense that a "person" owned it. True communism! Of course, also in true communism one can't steal frrom another person, only from the state because no one owns anything except the state.
