NV - Re: "That is really good news. When the biggest retail outlet for PCs starts selling Intel only, it confirms how strong the trend is with Intel. "

I made a slight error in my post.

Best Buy did have one AthWiper system listed - and "only" 28 Intel-based systems listed !

But, as you note, it's great news for Intel !

Re: "I wonder if analysts are still questioning Intel's large capital expenditures this year.<g>"

For sure - they will question it until there is an upturn in business - and then when Intel puts that massive production engine to work - they will conveniently forget to praise Intel for its foresight and stamina and sticking with its investment goals during thse tough economic times.

These same analysts will then probably call for a government investigation of Intel for "monopoly practices" as it TROUNCES AMD with its (Intel's) manufacturing might !

NewVision, "Best Buy's ads are just a reflection of consumer preferences."

Is this a sort of new vision in retail practice?
Since when the retailer ads were reflection of
consumer preferences? I was under impression that
ads are usually a reflection of inventory problems...
