AD,
Going forward, I think the AMAT YoYo Drop is about 10% after each Catch. We could have a one time Drop to about 20% and that's it. We are pretty much following the routes we traveled beginning from both Octobers of 1996 and 1998. The tragic events of Sep 11 doesn't seem to Upset the schedule too much. The advance might be slower this time but then the Bull will stay longer with us.

You are doing Okay with your trading --- if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Enhance it a little by taking advantage of the Bullish trend. Be extra careful because AMAT is capable of running non-stop like from 36+ to 59+ that happened earlier this year, like 34+ to 49+ in Jan 1997, like 63+ to 85+ in 1999 and other running the stock did in the past. Those were Not Sprinting type --- by slowly moving 1 to 2 dollars at a time, many Bears got fooled. Even would be Bulls got fooled and missed buying at all.

Because I use Options, I trade a lot to replace Options nearing expirations. By Trading I was able to separate my Capital, spent it together with other gains and the rest of the gains were the only ones I've been playing with since. During the last Bull Market, on his first attempt, even my son did well trading. He did spectacularly trading the Bullish way as you are doing now spectacularly doing the Bearish way. You see if you are a Bull in a rising market, you can afford to make mistakes such as selling too soon or buying back higher and still feel like a "Genius".

You may have noticed that as you gained shorting and covering always on the alert from 30 to 40 --- the Bull who did nothing but watch gained also that time period.

In the long run the LTB&H AMAT Bull who has his money Invested all the time performs better than the Short term trader Bullish or Bearish who commits just a little of his money every time (he's afraid to commit all).
