Beamer - Re: "The question is: does news.com take people like Chris Tom seriously, or are they simply chasing ambulances trying to find a good story?"

They are just looking to stick it to Intel.

RE: Paul, Re: "Intel is seen as an evil company that forces standards down throats. AMD is seen as a company that pays attention to the "diy" (do it yourself) and gamer crowd," wrote Chris Tom, co-editor of the enthusiast Web site AMD Zone. "People are braving cold weather early in the morning up north and waiting for hours for AMD to show up. The Athlon XP has done better than I expected with users."
It's interesting to see actual news articles featuring quotes from other enthusiast AMDroids. The AMDroids from this thread may find reason to rejoice in this - having justified their theory that the "word" is getting out to the public. The question is: does news.com take people like Chris Tom seriously, or are they simply chasing ambulances trying to find a good story?
