Chuck, it was "nice", but not "Great". At around 1:00 AM, clouds started to cover the southwestern skies, so I took a nap till 4:30. By then I had, crystal clear skies, a little urban lights, and a nice show. Most events where in the western skies (really southwestern skies, a slce of about 30 degree south of due west) , roughly from the zenith to about 30 degrees over the horizon. I saw maybe five "spectacular" events, where the trace started east of the zenith and went all the way to few degrees above the horizon. I saw maybe another five events of multiple strikes (where few of the traces were simultaneous). These things were going quite fast since in most instances they were "on" for less than a second each.
