Oh please. This whole place is ridiculous no matter what we are discussing. We've spent ridiculous amounts of energy on far more ridiculous things in the past. imo of course. No doubt the ridiculous expenditures will continue.

First, it's addressed to the thread founder, not to the thread in general, which gets confusing. Second, it gives no ability to link the post to an ongoing discussion, so responses are out of context and may make no sense. It's fine for starting up new topics. It's not fine for participating in an ongoing discussion. That said, I agree completely with your final paragraph. And I am also amused at the amount of heat this issue has generated. Guess with the market still in the doldrums and not much news out of the war zone, people have lots of free time on their hands and no better way to fill it.
