Just one minor crack in your argument. To wit, you say: Keep in mind too that we haven't had deflation

This is generally true. However, there was a 1.6% decline in October's PPI numbers, announced last week. So, while one month does not a trend make, deflation is certainly not to be considered an impossibility here.
