hi oz and thanks for the welcome. i agree one is apples and the other is oranges. however, as for the mm. mm can DELAY REPORTING A TRADE FOR A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF TIME (90 seconds?). this is a new rule that came in a few months ago to help the mm (like they need it), but, they did implement a few rules along with that one that did tend to make them a tad more honest. might i ask what system you are using that lets you buy direct from another person/mm. to date (or at least a few months ago, all the "level 2" trades were still directed via the brokerage of whatever system you are usuing. tia. tk2k
