Mani, I agree that hierarchy per se, is not a solution, and restated that a perceived" problem might be that it is too easy, apparently, the become a "religious leader", and then with the power of the word (and I have been told, that the Arabic language, is indeed quite "powerful" when used for incitement and demagoguery, but I am sure other languages are just as good) and few lies and white lies to hijack that religion. I am still surprised that I have not heard a chorus of Islamic clergy taking the pulpit and denouncing Bin Laden and the like as "Kufr" (?? spelling). The fact of the matter is that the Quran specifically forbids to engage in battle and destroy the unarmed, and certainly women and children. All terrorists that have and are targeting innocent people are by definitions "Kufr" (worst than "infidels", since they were Muslims and turned against the Quran). So, where is the Islamic clergy cry of shame and Jihad against the Kufr?
