wbmw, LOL, funny but unfair to AMD. Give them some credit for the $$$ they spent vs the $$$ Intel spent. Constantine

Re: AMD... had to get bailed out by NextGen. Then they still couldn't design a decent microprocessor, so they had to get bailed out by ex-members of the Alpha team. Fair enough. Both AMD and Intel gained a lot from the breakup of DIGITAL. Intel gets its chipset technology from Corrollary and Compaq, and its processor technology from HP and Compaq. AMD got chipset technology from Compaq and hired ex-DIGITAL people (as well as buying Nexgen) to lead their CPU development.
