Can't the customs install a fingerprinting and testing software at US ports of entry ? Or are we saying thats giving up a little bit of privacy and freedom ? Personally, I don't give a damn if i had to pass thru a fingerprinting check every time i fly in and out of US...

Do you know how many illegal aliens enter the US every year without ever going through customs?

Neither do I. But it is a lot.

And different people value privacy and freedom differently. The Arab governments don't value it a lot and the environment breeds a large amount of terrorists. Of course, they can't operate there, so they export them to us.

I guess what bothers me is that we're sanctioning the killing of hundreds or thousands of people becoz we don't know what else to do with them ?

Of course, the US will be blamed for their deaths, even though it will be the Afghans who do it. Another situation where the US is damned if they do and damned if they don't. Maybe those Talebans who now want to surrender should turn on their Al Qaeda brothers and kill them first and then surrender. Maybe they should think about who they want to fight for the next time.

<<I was intrigued at your "will not". Are you saying that they will choose not to, or that you don't want them to....?>>

Clearly they will not be included in any new government (particularly the Arabs).

Susie, I seriously doubt you will get many to agree that the bombing is a mistake (I do)...my country wrong or right seems to be the mantra. We should be much more concerned with the civil liberties that have been stripped from every US citizen since 9-11 in the name of "Homeland security" or whatever they're calling it.

Arno is a great guy...he's a Rush Limbaugh lovin dude, but we won't hold that against him<gg>. He's the first to wisely state that we can't change other's views and any attempt to do so only leads to hardships for friends. (Jorj and arno aren't on the same page at all as you stated, but they are friends. Just thought I'd clear that up<g>)

There was a cool show the other night here billed as "Boobs, not Bombs"..it was a fundraiser type show with all female bands

Keep smiling,

Bob
