The Lingerer

The Lingerer was unidentifiable from my seated view of his cheap shoes. No tell-tale sound of water spraying porcelain; he faked it. He washed up, used too many paper towels, and then...nothing. I'm left wondering what The Lingerer did in the silent, thirty seconds between drying and leaving.
