ed, you welcome, send money. yes, GLW, and many of the beaten down telcos, are showing big bounces. GLW is a lot more than fiber optics. saturday night i talked with research person in environmental services at corning. their big biz is substrates, catalytic converter filters for cars, now expanding into diesels. but their ceramic substrates, and filtering biz has lots of possible uses, their R & D continues, and they have many irons in the fire. glw's history is that out of their excellent R & D, they come up with some real winners. started with glass bulbs for edison's light bulbs, then TV screens, then fiber optics. i would consider holding some glw for the long haul as well as trading. larry
