Two very interesting posts that, serendipitously, came together: 79445 - Richnorth's post on progressive Moslems and 79446 - long-gone's post on the power of gold with Gregory Bresiger's critique of Peter Bernstein's book on gold. Someone totally new to GPM - if he read these two posts together - would start to compare the Moslem mullahs incanting the past and closing the door on new ideas (ijtehad) and today's gold bugs that are incanting (according to Bernstein) the illusion of gold.
