Well you see, jokes about religion don't have to be mean, or filled with namecalling. Perhaps you just don't hang out in the right circles to hear normal jokes. If all you hear are hate filled jokes, I could understand an aversion to humor.

Some people find jokes about demolib pinheads and
Berserkley offensive.

Can't see why anybody would object to those jokes. Unless they thought picking on mentally unarmed people somehow wasn't fair.
