I'm not sure that I understand your point. Is it your view that religion makes one more prone to violence? Or are you suggesting that poverty is the cause of violence, and that in impoverished countries, even religious people ultimately become angry and covetous of other countries who are wealthier? Suppose that Bin Laden or the Ayotolla were Huminists and believed that there were no moral absolutes, and that what is good and what is evil changes depending on the circumstances. Would they be more prone to violence, or less inclined that way, in your view?
