ST - Trading FWIW, I'm risking the overnight hold here and am glad to see today's short traders walk away on the plus side . I didn't fare as well.

Based on AMAT's close of $38.84, I gave up all the gains I booked earlier today plus a little and now stand:

Short 4000 shares AMAT averaged at $38.47
Holding paper loss: $1,480
MTD Status (+$9,400 less -$1,480 = +$7,920)

Mike,

My original plan was to start buying after 15 dec. I still think until then we are not going any where. In this market for next few weeks both AD and I have equally good chances of making money. We just have to play opposite sides. I do better when I play long.It appears that we will be stuck in a range for a while. What that range will be is not clear. Amat is trying to find a trading range before it starts another upleg.

My plan is to start accumulating stocks for the next trade. If the stock goes down I will keep adding shares for each point drop. I may buy a large amount if the stocks drops 3 to 4 points in a day otherwise will keep adding small lots. I am about 65% in cash. Holding some Itwo and amat leaps.

If amat reaches 35, Nvls 35, lltc 35 and mxim 45 I will go on margin and buy whatever I can. We may not see those numbers for a while.
