You are wrong. Jews simply do not follow that particular law. Just as they do not follow their divorce laws when husbands refuse to grant a divorce. Actually, of the approximately 635 laws Jews are expected to follow, according to the bible, the modern day religious jew follows only about 300 or so. Most obligations to faith have to do with sacrificing animals and stuff, which they don't do, but there is a movement afoot in Israel to go back to that...
