Mike,

"Eva got a letter from Paul Engel saying that the current draw was 1.70 amp - and the PDF should be
ftp://download.intel.com/design/mobile/datashts/29834002.pdf "

Ali had already stated exactly that in post 64032:

"In "mobile" chips they drop the sleep voltage down
to 0.85V, where the leakage goes down to about 1.7A."

PLEASE, can someone in the know put more light into this???

Peter

Mike, "...and the PDF should be..."

Can someone explain to me why these .pdfs from Intel Web
"should not be":

ftp://download.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/datashts/24976501.pdf
ftp://download.intel.com/design/PentiumIII/datashts/24965702.pdf

but the Engel's
ftp://download.intel.com/design/mobile/datashts/29834002.pdf

should?

Why Engel's.pdf is "right", and mine's are "wrong"?

Thanks,
- Ali

:-) :-)

Aside from Ali Chen's explanation ( and the associated question it brings up as to why "deep sleep" is the relevant state in Engel's mind), I was wondering if the esteemed Mr. Engel used the same polite form of address with Ms. Glass that he did with Ali Chen? A form of address that we all really, really miss here on "a moderated AMD board".
