The goal in schools today is to make sure no young lad ever "freaks" again in that situation.

came-on to me when I was 15, and I never had anything to do with him again, it freeked me out too much.

Understanding that a person feels he is an outsider has no basis in sexual orientation. Any sensitive caring person can see another in turmoil. That's if the turmoil can be seen by anyone.

Now what about the other 98 out of a hundred scouts who may be self consciousness about their privacy. How do they feel about being in ruff it situations with adults who lust after a person of their gender. Seems like a very insensitive position to place young folks in. It's like a guy in the girl scouts shower or tent while they undress. Do the girl scouts allow that by the way????

We do not deliberately invite trouble, do we? As for the gay scoutmasters, the viability of the organization depends on the trust of the parents. A gay scoutmaster does not have to be an advocate of the gay lifestyle, but he might be, and most parents would no like to have someone counseling their son who would be pushing in that direction. They especially do not want to increase the risk of predatory adults in intimate conditions with their children. Call it unenlightened, the Scouts would probably be irreparably harmed if forced to accept homosexuals in positions of leadership..........
