Um, Dear JC, who was trashing or ridiculing religion?

Can you post a reference please?

Or have you wandered off on your own, to mysterious parts unknown?

Religions offer an explanation based on an all-powerful Creator, and while no one has to endorse or adopt that belief, it seems presumptuous to me for people to ridicule it when they have no better explanations to offer.

Imagine asking a question to two individuals, neither one of whom knows the answer. The first person admits that they do not know the answer. The second contrives a preposterous explanation and declares that it is the only true answer and that any who do not accept it are going to be spanked by the boogeyman.

The first individual is being honest. The second is being ridiculous, and will naturally be subject to a certain amount of ridicule.

I have nothing further to say on this subject.
