I'm not "defending" the guy. You see you fail to understand this is not about "the guy". Let me talk about his actions: I think his joke was AWFUL. It simply wasn't an act of cowardice. It was foolhardy. It was awful behavior, but it simply does not fit the definition for an act of cowardice. You can, if you like, call all acts you do not like cowardice, and all people you do not like cowards, but that doesn't change the definition in the dictionary.

I disapprove totally of his actions. I have no need to resort to ad hominems about the man.
