David Z. quit to pursue other things. Maybe we could elect an SI member to occasionally do one. Members could forward candidates to an SI email address for this person. Just a thought.

I liked Cool Posts very much, myself, but it was too resource intensive as you surmised.

I'd like to revive it, but it would have to be in a more automatic fashion. There might also have to be a panel of SI volunteers who would contribute the posts.

Just my initial thoughts here,
