Yah, know, Chas, it's better to light one stinking candle than to find an excuse to complain.

Most ms programs have conversion utilities built in since at least, say, 1986.

I have never used PPoint, but I will bet you that it, like almost every other ms program, has a version conversion utility.

We been at this for a long time now, long enough to get the simple stuff worked out, anyway. The way it works with MS is you see something that you would like, notify MS and it usually appears, if warranted, in the next release, or the next version.

Kind of a Borg thingy. :))

LOL! If anybody should be interested in this topic, look into the OpenOffice.org documents about their MS Office import/export filters. It's worth reading and probably explains this case.
