Exactly. That's what happens when emotion takes over. You see it with individual investors with fear, greed , etc. Corporate execs are vulnerable to these emotions, PLUS the competitive ego rearing its ugly head if a bidding war breaks out. The Mobil, Connoco, Du Pont example I offered is one I'll never forget. It was a very dramatic example of supposedly intelligent adults letting emotion and ego dominate their behavior vs their better judgement. Isopatch
