December wasn't always a good month. The nascent bull market started in October, 1998 ran incessantly for weeks until December 14, on that day a ST low was registered.

Nasdaq started Dec '98 at 1928 and ended at 2192. That ain't so bad.

ibexx, that past bull market is no longer nascent. may be we have a new one coming now, may be not, but the one in 1998 is long dead.

Uh, I don't think 1998 is a real good comparison when it comes to this bear market.

Wasn't Henry Blodgett like a great all-knowing Guru back then? Wasn't there real tech growth and real earnings, and real un-tapped, under-served markets? Heck, we even had our modern version of tulipmania!

Oh, and the economy didn't suck either.

What a difference 3-years makes.
