The scouts don't teach bigotry. Where did you get such a notion? They teach just the opposite.

Have you ever been a pack leader? Served on a local scout board? Been to a pack meeting? Met the local scout leaders? Gone on an outing? Sat in on ONE meeting?

Dear JF Shephard:

The article I posted is from the "premiere conservative online news" service, something I failed to check on before posting it. However, I didn't write, nor comment on it. I do see that it's a very biased report, which isn't right. Here's the Girl Scout site: girlscouts.org . After reading that site over, I concede that the article I posted did not describe the Girl Scouts fairly.

That said...your latest post suggests you don't really care about the scouts. I do because I've been a Girl Scout, a Brownie leader and have helped with the Boy Scouts through the auspices of another volunteer organization. Those groups are wonderful and teach children good values. Call me conservative, but I don't think it's appropriate for openly gay people to be troop leaders.

"teaching bigotry is not building character"

I would say that is what you are doing by excluding the possibility of joining the boyscouts for your relatives. I have never been a boy scout, but I am sure glad I was not raised by you. You have some serious issues, and I feel for your kids.
