Congratulations on your baby. One thing I learned is take lots of pictures and videos. I follow my little boy with my camera! You never realize when it is an opportunity for a photo! That is one lesson I learned in time! Westi

Congratulations Srexley! I bought a Hi-8 Canon just before the Digital Recorder boom. The good news is that there are several products that allow analog to digital conversion of tape. (Pinnacle Systems, Dazzle DV.now and Hollywood bridge) They tend to be a bit expensive and I am waiting for the price to drop. Eventually I'd like to convert all my tape to DV and make a movie of my 2 boys lives,(one's 1 and the other turned 5 today). I love seeing their development over the years. BTW you will find a tremendous number of terrific still pictures in the tape. Great for catching spontaneous moments. Good Luck, DOC
