That is potentially a very dangerous thing to do.

Of course, it is. Truthfully, one cannot know for sure that he is not a coward; but the preponderance of the evidence would argue that he is not.

He has survived many assassination attempts. He made himself the number one enemy of the two most powerful nations on the planet. He committrf and caused to commit acts of the most despicable nature, acts that were certain to draw the most erstwhile atttempts to kill him.

Most of us fear death to some degree, on the basis that it will considerably affect our market profiles. Bin Laden, however, has no such fear. Death, to him, is the end of his earthly sacrifices: no more caves; only soft, luxurious beds, and soft luxurious sexual partners of whatever gender preference tickes his fancy.

Inded, it is this absolute lack of fear which must be remembered until he is safely under ground. One can be absolutely sure (or almost so), that he would willingly sacrife his life as his followers have. Whether he is wired for disease or explosives...his capture or killing must be conducted with the utmost caution.

Shooting someone in the back may be an act of cowardice--or it may not. It depends on whether the motivation is fear, or whether it is practicality, contempt, etc. That which we find despicable, contemptible, odious, and beyond any standard of justice or fairness...is not, in this case, an act of fear. It is an act of the most utter sneering contempt.

The most dangerous individual is the one who harbors no fear. It would seem we are dealing with just such a person in OBL. So long as he believes himself to be the most favored general of God, he will fear nothing...but will act with dispassionate, cold, and psychotic ruthlessness.

Hey, I didn't call OBL a coward. I was just trying to get a better read on what X thought of him.
