By Powell's speech, we can now officially say that the current American Administration is in favor of the United Nations Security Council "land for peace". Resolutions 242 and 338 bring Israel back to its pre-1967 borders. This now sets up the Biblical prophecies regarding all the nations coming against Israel and the likely treaty of "peace" which will ensure "security" with many -- Daniel 9:27. Powell suggested that Jerusalem was not to be solely Israel's. Powell compared "innocent" Palestinians and "innocent" Israelis, when in fact, the dead Israelis were targets of terrorism but the dead Palestinians were simply victims of self-defense and war. Arafat is a terrorist. By saying he should have a state, the USA is taking a stance of stupidity and negotiating with terrorists. This is extremely hypocritical and the stance places the USA on the WRONG side during end-time prophecy. Why not give Bin Laden a state if he would call off terrorism? The implications of the USA position here is more than worrisome. In a letter to President Bush Friday, 89 senators urged him not to restrain Israel from retaliating fully against Palestinian violence and to express his solidarity publicly with Israel soon. “There is constant concern about the administration's wavering,” said Senator Arlen Specter, Republican of Pennsylvania, who is one of the signatories. “Powell talks about the cycle of violence that suggests one produces the other and that there is a moral equivalency, which is not true. Terrorists killing civilians is totally unjustified, and Israel's response is self-defense.” Add this: (AgapePress) - In what is believed to be a first in American history, there were prayers to Allah last night at the White House where President Bush hosted a formal Ramadan celebration with dozens of Muslim leaders. The Ramadan event was another effort by the Bush Administration to prove its war on terrorism is not a war against Islam. However, conservative voices like Gary Bauer have been sharply critical of that effort. He says he has heard from a number of people within the U.S. intelligence community who are shocked and demoralized that some of the Muslim leaders who have been spending time with the President have been known to speak out in favor of terrorism. Bauer notes that while these people are getting the red carpet treatment at the White House, reports indicate the President is distancing himself from one of the country's best-known evangelicals. According to reports, Franklin Graham upset the Bush Administration when he recently referred to Islam as being "wicked, violent, and not of the same God." Then this: ISLAMABAD (Reuters) - U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Wendy Chamberlin, a Christian, is fasting for the Islamic holy month of Ramadan in a bid to deepen her understanding of what Muslims experience. The setup is almost complete. The actual "peace" treaty is about all that remains to be done. Time could most surely be short. I remain, SOROS
