True. Probably a better way to explain it is when the perception that the war on terrorism is over. So then the question is how to determine that. In response to my own question, Im not a political scientist/socialoligist, so I will let others to determine/set the parameters of when such perception(war on terrorism is over) is achieved.

Justa, I agree. US Soldiers get killed in a war. We've had more journalists killed than US Soldiers in this war.
I'm not sure this is a war by historical standards.

1-US soldier died in a hi-low accident, and the others (I forget, 2 or 4) died in a helicopter crash).
