I opposed the Fed takeover of airline security. They have a role but screening bags isn't it, IMO. I have no feeling about stun guns but I don't see them as totally effective.

On one hand, I'm already trusting the pilot with my life so I have no problem with him being armed.

On the other hand, I'm not sure what type of stun guns are under consideration. In cases of multiple attackers, I'm not sure they would be very effective.

On the other hand (are you counting) -- if the cockpit is secure, why do the pilots need a weapon? If an attacker is outside the cockpit - presumably standing in the aisle - the pilot's best weapon may be the aircraft controls.
