People are free to believe or not that the Bible is the inspired Word Of God. However no one can deny that the principles and morals described in it are the foundation of our civilization. So if we want to tamper with one of the core tenants of that foundation, marriage, we need to think hard a long about the consequences. And it is incumbent on those who are advocating the change to convince society that the resultant upheaval will benefit us. Instead we are tossing the wisdom of 6 thousand years away like a used Kleenex.
