Bambi Francisco, CBS.MarketWatch offers this commentary on "what it takes to un-'stuff' valuations" witha Nokia mention:

marketwatch.com

>> Nokia is holding its analyst day on November 27. Analysts expect the company to showcase new products, such as phones with GPRS (general packet radio service) capabilities and color screens. There will probably be good news and excitement about these fun gadgets.

Nokia's shares have already risen in anticipation of the event. Shares traded at $14.15 in mid-Sept. and currently trade at $24. Now some analysts suggest considering selling after the analyst meeting next Tuesday and definitely before December 11, the day Nokia holds its mid-quarter update. "The company could guide revenue estimates lower," said Tom Carpenter, technology analyst at Hilliard Lyons.

UBS Warburg's Coburn also believes that Nokia's estimates of 25 percent sequential growth is optimistic but isn't priced into Nokia shares. Then again, the market's reaction would be telling, he said. <<
