Perhaps the discussion here regarding the word "cowardly" is confused by our own synonym or antonym of the word?

Do we see "cowardly" as ( Webster's)...afraid? chicken-hearted? effeminate? faint-hearted? not courageous? shy? sissy? spiritless? timid? timorous? Or do we think of it's opposite- bold? brave? courageous? daring? dauntless?

I define "cowardly" as not courageous...since "courage" is defined as bravery, chivalry, gallantry, heroism...None of the words, IMO, describe OBL.

Yet Webster also defines "courage" as daring, dauntlessness, fearlessness...which certainly confuses the issue! Could these words describe OBL?

Just my thoughts!
