Placed orders to buy amat @ 37.50, 37.00 and 36.5

Kdavy, with comments coming out of the brokerages such as this:

07:58 ET CSFB on Semis : CSFB notes that in the last two semiconductor downturns that coincided with an economic downturn, the recovery ended up being more gradual; says that while the industry may be near bottom, the gradual slope of the recovery has not been factored into valuations.

and this

10:55 AM In Play Semi Equipment : Goldman Sachs cautious, says group is poised for a selloff as sentiment seems to be getting ahead of fundamentals. They cite: mgmts getting more cautious (especially AMAT and KLAC) as purchases are slowing due to buyer's cash flow and balance sheet concerns, expected INTC capex cut in January and worsening economic conditions leading to negative sentiment shift. October book-to-bill out tomorrow night, GS estimates 0.73-- higher than last month's reported 0.65-- but driven by lower shipments rather than higher orders.

Might it not make sense to space out your bids a little more? As sentiment shifts to capex not recovering till 2003, I won't be surprised if we retest the lows.

IMHO
