A wide spread suggests the unpredictability of price movement - at least for the short-term.

If anyone could figure this stock out, they could make a living. I watched this a.m. for awhile, then took off to run errands and when I came back about ten minutes before the close, it had tanked. A lot of traders must be taking tomorrow off.

The only thing I own in the green was Akamai. Conrades must be doing something right.

RESEARCH ALERT-CSFB starts Ciena with ``buy'' rating

NEW YORK, Nov 27 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston said on Tuesday it initiated coverage of Ciena Corp. (NasdaqNM:CIEN - news) with a ``buy'' rating, citing the optical networking company's strong portfolio, product development acumen, management expertise and long-term prospects.

Analyst James Parmelee wrote in a research note that Ciena, though not immune to the downturn, is seeing a much less severe effect on its financials and outlook than its peers are.

Parmelee set a 12- to 18-month price target of $27 (too low --ibexx) on the shares, which closed on Monday at $20.19. The stock's 52-week range is $9.20 to $121.38.
