Well the good of this could be that other mechanics non union will fill the jobs. The timing is definitely wrong.

I guess this group is about as savvy as some of the CEOs who think theri raises are going to be in the twenty percent range.

Bush is making his first major mistake by insisting on binding arbitration which is a pro-union stance. He's doing this to maintain "confidence".

It's ironic that the unions reject binding arbitration. They think it's too lenient. UAL is fat given the alleged 20% executives raises that the union is convinced are happening.

Well, didn't UPS sue for and get 4% cash increase? And didn't Fedex follow suit?

The only resolution is to give the unions what they want. FED will simply monetize their demands.

Just remember. There is no inflation and corporations do not having accelerating pricing power. But they will try to get it in order to pay for non-negotiable demands forced on Bush.

Remember, high cost marginal workers do not set the propensity to inflate.

And the emperor wears new clothes.

And Blue Shoe likes UAL.

Short.
