We recently purchased an HP all-in-one machine for my brother-in-law to use when he's in town visiting. Turns out, he uses a different HP printer at home and the drivers for that printer conflict with the drivers for the new printer. Result? We can't install the new printer drivers on his computer. Checked with HP service, and they confirmed that the two are incompatible. Totally unacceptable.

I use a Brother all-in-one scanner/laser printer/fax and have never had a problem. My inkjet is an Epson.

I would never buy HP again.
