Hi hdl; Re Stephen T Watson; The tendency for Rambus investors is to buy in and then forget to take profits. STW is undoubtedly in the money right now, but if he doesn't take some profits he'll be in trouble early next year (I predict).

He (it?) has a lot of other investments (total $376 million in hundreds of companies) , but Rambus looks to be his current honey at around 5% of the total:

Hi hdl; Re your question of Nov 20, 2001: "is stephen t watson a bright fellow?"

During 4Q01, "he" sold 1,195,000 of the 1,835,000 shares he bought during 3Q01, leaving him with a still sizeable stake of 640,000.

At 9/31/01 he had around 5% of his capital in Rambus. It's now down to 1.2%.
