AS to the flower, I am of the opinion that since all our eyes are different we are all seeing the flower differently, but some of us are also using very different pathways in the brain to process the different visual images we get. So we might think we were talking about the same flower, but we really wouldn't be.

I see all thinking as going on that way. There are people I have met on SI who "appear" to process information almost identically to the way I process information (I can't say for sure, I hope you understand). Steven Rogers and I frequently write identical things to the same stimuli, without knowing we have done. There are also people on SI whose responses make absolutely no sense to me. I am sure, since they wrote what they wrote, their response makes sense to them. I believe that. I even respect that they have a different world view. If I do not like their world view I'm not going to help them achieve it, but I would place no barriers to them expressing themselves.
