I agree that it would be interesting and useful to study the causes of homosexuality, but there apparantly is very little research, and to do more is controversial within the gay community. One fear that is stated in the Bay Area is that they feel that people would look for a "cure" for it, which is offensive becuase that terminology casts homosexuality as a disease. What we need (imo) is some good old fashioned research for a more enlightened understanding of homosexuality, particularly for those who are homosexual and are conflicted.

But of course that would not be PC.
