Hi Collin, Yes, that old adage 'let your profits run' can bite you fast if you're not on top of your profits. Then there's the greed factor, but we've gotten over that long ago haven't we, along with fear, foolish hope, and despair. <VBG> I kept HLIT (entry yesterday) while dumping some other stuff as it seemed to be staying strong. I expect it to finish closing that gap, at least to > 10 before reversing. If you're not in, watch your entry now. End of day charts show large gap (from 11.7), but afterhours that day HLIT traded all the way down to 10 - I recall vividly as I got some at 10 thinking I was smart and would play the bounce the next AM. Bounce I played, but it was almost coronary time when it opened down around around 7.15. I did a rare double down and bailed at 8-ish to break even. Next week HLIT could run back to 12+ if the markets cooperate, it moves like that. Or it could close < 8 tomorrow. CVTX short? Yes it's gained ~20 points fast, and while I've not done a real study, my short term indicators haven't started to roll over yet, recent volume is > longer term average and today's volume was greater than yesterday's while the has stock continued steadily up. It's close to the high for the year and the top of that gap at the start of Jan, so could break out to upside as easily as break down. Are they due to announce any P3 or FDA reviews or something else that could go wrong? Absent that sort of thing, I think you'd have time to get short after it reverses.
