JOHANNESBURG -(Dow Jones)- Bobby Godsell, AngloGold Ltd. (AU) chairman and
chief executive, Wednesday denied press reports that his company was mulling a
A$300 million sweetener to its bid for Australia's Normandy Mining Ltd.

(A.NDY).

Godsell was responding to reports in Australian newspapers Wednesday that
AngloGold was considering dropping all conditions on its offer, and also
considering offering a cash dividend of up to 15 Australian cents a Normandy
share.
